The Beck’s Difference
I remember being a young boy, playing in the front lobby with my toy trucks as my Dad worked in the shop fixing vehicles of all types. Today, I’m the owner of Beck’s Auto Center.
My goal at Beck’s is to guide you into an easy and educated approach to maintaining and repairing your vehicle. By offering a range of services, Beck’s Auto Center will extend your vehicle’s life, enhance its resale value, and minimize repair costs over the life of the vehicle.

ROBERT HANCOCK
As a Lafayette native, my roots in the automotive industry run deep. I graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1995, and my journey led me to the United States Air Force in 1997. Over the course of my military career, I had the privilege of serving in various locations, including Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, England, Saudi Arabia, and finally, Alaska. These experiences broadened my horizons and instilled in me a sense of discipline and dedication that I bring to Becks Auto Center today.
Upon returning home, I found my way back to the family business, where my father and I joined forces once again. For six years, I worked side by side with him, gaining invaluable knowledge and expertise in the auto repair and car sales industry. In 2009, I took the significant step of purchasing the business, further cementing my commitment to serving our community with top-notch automotive services.
My journey in this field began long before my professional career. I grew up surrounded by auto repair and car sales, thanks to my upbringing and the influence of friends like Clint Johnson, the owner of Guaranteed Automotive & Transmission Service, Cory Lewis, whose family operates Lewis Motor Sales, and Nathan Buche, who started Auto Express from the ground up. These friendships and experiences have given me a unique perspective and a genuine passion for the automotive world.
In addition to my role at Becks Auto Center, I am actively involved in various community and civic groups, including BNI, Greater Lafayette Commerce, and the Automotive Service Association. I also serve on the Ivy Tech Automotive advisory board and am a dedicated parishioner at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
On a personal note, my wife, Cassandra, and I take immense pride in our roles as parents to our daughter, Bella, and son, Hunter. They inspire me to strive for excellence in all that I do, just as I aim to provide exceptional service to the Lafayette community through Becks Auto Center.
