Brakes for Breasts & Tricia’s Hope

Brakes for Breasts at Beck’s Auto Center

At Beck’s Auto Center, giving back to the community is just as important as keeping cars safe on the road. That’s why each October, our team proudly participates in Brakes for Breasts, a nationwide campaign where independent auto shops raise funds for breast cancer research and more. For every brake service performed at Beck’s Auto Center during the campaign, customers receive free brake pads, and only pay for labor and additional parts. Ten percent of those proceeds goes toward the Tricia’s Hope foundation to support breast cancer patients and their families. By choosing Beck’s during this time, you’re not only ensuring your vehicle is road-ready, but you’re also supporting a life-saving mission. Not ready for a brake service? You can donate directly to Tricia’s Hope below to show your support!

Supporting Local Families Through Tricia’s Hope

We’re also honored to support Tricia’s Hope, a Lafayette-based nonprofit founded in 2013 by breast cancer survivor Tricia Rausch. What started as one woman’s vision has grown into a community lifeline for families facing cancer. The organization’s mission is simple but powerful: to provide financial, emotional, and community support during one of life’s toughest battles. Unlike many national programs, every dollar raised by Tricia’s Hope goes right back into helping families here at home.

Programs That Make a Difference

Tricia’s Hope runs a variety of programs designed to bring comfort and relief. Their Care Package Program delivers thoughtful items to patients during treatment, offering a touch of comfort on difficult days. They also provide financial assistance to help cover essentials like rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation, easing the burden so families can focus on healing. Beyond financial support, Tricia’s Hope hosts community events such as the annual Survival Ball and 5K, creating moments of celebration and connection. Support groups and counseling opportunities give patients and survivors a safe space to share experiences and encouragement.

Real Impact in Our Community

The impact of Tricia’s Hope is felt every year. In 2024 alone, they provided over $36,000 to keep families in their homes, nearly $24,000 to cover utilities, and more than $18,000 to ensure transportation to treatment. In 2025, support has already reached families in need by covering mortgage payments, grocery bills, car repairs, and even childcare and pet care during treatment. These efforts prove how vital community-driven organizations like Tricia’s Hope are for local families.

Driving Hope Forward

At Beck’s Auto Center, we believe every brake job, every dollar donated, and every community partnership adds up to something bigger. Supporting causes like Brakes for Breasts and Tricia’s Hope allows us to join our customers in making a meaningful difference. Together, we’re not just repairing cars—we’re helping drive hope forward for families facing cancer.
