Rob Hancock remembers that as a young boy he played in the front lobby with his toy trucks as his Dad worked in the shop fixing vehicles of all types. Today Rob is the owner of Beck’s Auto Center.
Rob’s goal at Beck’s is to guide their customers into an easy and educated approach to maintaining and repairing their vehicles. By offering a range of services, Beck’s Auto Center will extend a vehicle’s life, enhance its resale value, and minimize repair costs over the life of the vehicle.
Rob enjoys running a small business and trying to stay ahead of all the changes. It’s challenging, but he remarks, “Whenever I get a thank you note, email, or picture from a satisfied customer, it makes my day, just knowing that someone appreciates what we have done for them.”
Rob’s Personal Side
A life-long resident of Lafayette, Rob is a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Air Force in 1997. While in the USAF, Rob spent time in Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, England, Saudi Arabia and finally Alaska. Rob was honorably discharged in 2003.
Upon his return to Lafayette, Rob started back in the family business. After working alongside his father for six years, Rob purchased the business in 2010.
Rob and his wife, Cassandra, are the proud parents of a daughter, Bella, and son, Hunter. Rob is active in various community and civic groups, BNI, Greater Lafayette Commerce, the Automotive Service Association, on the Ivy Tech Automotive advisory board, and is a parishioner at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
